Born in Kuching, Malaysia, Daniel W.K. Lee (李華強) is a queer, Cantonese American, third-generation refugee born in Kuching, Malaysia. Raised in Chicagoland, Daniel moved to New York City in 1996 where he earned a BA at New York University and an MFA in Creative Writing at The New School. Daniel relocated to Seattle in 2014 and after a little over five years in the Pacific Northwest, he and his whippet Camden moved to New Orleans soon after the publication of his debut collection of poetry Anatomy of Want by QueerMojo/Rebel Satori Press. He is currently working on two new poetry manuscripts.
